CGGS is committed to offering cultural and immersion opportunities to our students, and the next of these opportunities will be a transformative immerision experience focused on service learning, cultural exchange and heritage connection to Honiara, Solomon Islands. The selection process for students consists of a written application and, depending on the number of applicants, a short interview. Students may be short-listed prior to the interview.

Please note:

The School is mindful of giving the opportunity for participation in extended trips to as many students as possible.
Many factors need to come together to make the tours viable; therefore, the School may not proceed with this tour should circumstances prevent it.
Students on the tour will miss the first week of Term 3, so would not be able to participate in Interschools Snowsports.

Selection criteria include, but are not limited to:

The written application
An interview (if required)
Current enrolment as a Year 10–11 student in 2026
School fees and all related costs paid in full by the required due dates
Demonstrated commitment to upholding the CGGS values
Personal wellbeing and readiness – Students should demonstrate the ability to manage their wellbeing, including responding positively to challenges, adapting to new environments, and showing independence and emotional maturity appropriate for an international tour. Please note that the experience will be both physically and mentally demanding
Physical capacity – Students must be able to participate in sustained physical activity, including extended periods of walking and performance demands. Existing injuries or limitations that significantly restrict participation may affect eligibility for the tour.
